Jean-Marc Boillot was one of the younger generation in Burgundy who was determined to improve his family’s wines. He became the winemaker for Olivier Leflaive for the next four years and at the same time produced wines from 5-acres of vineyards, bottled under his own label.
From 85 to 90 year old vines with the corresponding low yields. Glorious imperial purple, with power to match. This is noble as well as with huge weight and there is a lively acidity to boot holding the ensemble together. Really gorgeous long finish. Plush raspberry.” Jasper Morris 1/2021
