JEAN MARC BOILLOT POMMARD 2020

Jean-Marc Boillot was one of the younger generation in Burgundy who was determined to improve his family’s wines. He became the winemaker for Olivier Leflaive for the next four years and at the same time produced wines from 5-acres of vineyards, bottled under his own label.   

The deepest color in the cellar. Sweet candied fruit on the nose. A velvet glove. Textured fruit of smoky, rustic tobacco leaf. A true Pinot expression of black cherry, too, with very sneaky power that builds up some oak on the finish but is absorbed in the mass of fruit. Very fine.
